About DX Invaders

DX Invaders was made in just one day (14/6/00). It is like the classic game of Space Invaders with speeded up gameplay and smoother graphics. Like all my games, all the games artwork and programming was done by me, but as usual I just stole the sound FX from other games.

PC Requirements

• DirectX version 7 or higher

• A monitor supporting 640 x 480 resolution, 16 bit colour graphics

• A 133Mhz or higher processor is recommended. The game automatically adjusts it's speed to your computer to keep the frame rate at a smooth 30 frames per second (BTW, if you run from VB, it prints the frame rate every second to the debug window). However, if your computer is slower than 133Mhz, it may not be able to run that fast. However, you can still play the game.

How to Play

Pretty simple really. Click on the game 'DX Invaders.exe' to start the game. Use the left right arrow keys to dodge the NME bullets, and press up to shoot back at them. If you need to quit before Game Over (or game completion!) just press Escape. You can even Click Here to start the game right now!
